Accessibility
Jar Hearts is committed to providing a storefront that people can perceive, navigate, understand and use across common devices and assistive technologies.
Our target
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our design and remediation target. This is a statement of intent and ongoing work, not an unsupported claim that every page or third-party component currently conforms in every respect.
Measures we take
- Use semantic headings, landmarks and labels where the platform permits.
- Support keyboard navigation, visible focus and logical interaction order.
- Maintain readable contrast, responsive reflow, zoom and touch-target sizing.
- Provide meaningful alternative text for informative imagery and avoid text inside images when practical.
- Respect reduced-motion preferences and avoid essential information conveyed only by color.
- Review common storefront paths, including search, product, cart, checkout, account and policy pages.
- Require reasonable accessibility consideration when selecting or configuring third-party services.
Known limitations
A large catalog can contain manufacturer-supplied images, manuals, specifications or media with incomplete alternatives. WordPress, WooCommerce, Stripe checkout, embedded provider interfaces and browser/assistive-technology combinations can also vary. We prioritize barriers that block product discovery, checkout, order support or access to material terms.
Get assistance or report a barrier
Email info@jarhearts.com with “Accessibility” in the subject. Include the page URL, the task, the barrier, device/browser, assistive technology if relevant, and the format or alternative that would help. Do not include sensitive payment information. We will make reasonable efforts to provide the information or service through an accessible alternative and to address reproducible barriers.
Compatibility and assessment
The site is intended to work with current major browsers, operating-system accessibility features, keyboard navigation and commonly used screen readers. Accessibility is assessed through a combination of design review, keyboard testing, automated checks and targeted manual review. Automated tools alone do not establish conformance.
Escalation
If an initial response does not resolve the issue, reply to the same email thread and request accessibility escalation. A request for accommodation will not affect product price, order eligibility or access to customer service.
Standard and guidance
